Pecans are one of the healthiest nuts in the world. They contain a high level of anti-oxidants,omega-3s, and healthy fats (the cholesterol lowering kind).

Considered a nutrient dense food, pecans contain over 19 vitamins and minerals. They have a higher ANDI (Aggregate Nutrient Density Index) score than almonds, cashews, and walnuts. In 2012, they were certified as a “heart healthy food” by the American Heart Association.
